The AgroParisTech Oenology Association is made up of twenty or so students in the first and second years of the agricultural engineering course. Passionate about wine, they organize events to help other students discover the world of wine: invitations to wineries, wine weekends, and conferences given by professionals (sommeliers, wine merchants, etc.). The year ends with the AgroTastingChallenge, which is traditionally held at the end of April and whose preparation is spread out throughout the year in collaboration with the Ruinart champagne house.
AgroParisTech is a higher education institution specializing in life sciences and environmental industries. Students are admitted after 2 or 3 years of scientific preparation. AgroParisTech awards an engineering degree at the end of the course. For more information, visit the school’s website.
Ruinart is a champagne house founded in 1729 in Épernay by Nicolas Ruinart, the nephew of the Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. Today owned by LVMH, it is the oldest Champagne house. It has hosted the AgroTastingChallenge (formerly CAV’iT) every year since its creation in 2015. Discover the world of Ruinart on their website.
